JUNE 23, 2021 5 FIRES DETECTED

On June 23, 2021, 5 fires were detected: 3 fires on the territory of the Semiozernoye KGU, 2 fires on the territory of the Naurzum GPP. Paratroopers-firefighters of the Kostanay aviation department, employees of the ground forest guard with equipment were sent to the place of fire to extinguish the fire and prevent its further spread. Thanks to the coordinated actions of all services, fires were localized and eliminated in small areas.

JUNE 21, 2021 EXERCISES ON EXTINGUISHING NATURAL FIRES WERE CONDUCTED

On June 21, 2021, territorial fire-fighting exercises to extinguish wildfires were held on the territory of the RSU GLPR "Ertis Ormany". The exercises were conducted with the aim of working out the interaction of command and control bodies, forces and means of responding to extinguishing forest fires, promptly involving forces and means in extinguishing a fire, improving practical skills in organizing and managing fire extinguishing, managing the forces and means involved.

According to the legend of the exercise, during an air patrol of the protected area, an observer pilot of the Kazavialesoohrana State Enterprise discovered a forest fire.

From the aircraft to the place of fire, paratroopers-firemen with fire extinguishing means are landed. Having received the input, the paratroopers-firemen quickly proceed to extinguish the fire. In parallel, reconnaissance of the state of the fire is carried out from the air, the prospect of its development is assessed, the spread of fire and the course of extinguishing is monitored, and the alignment of forces and means along the perimeter of the fire is being adjusted. Due to the rapid spread of the fire element (due to strong winds and dry weather), a decision is made to attract additional forces and means.

After some time, the forces and means of the Firefighting and Rescue Service of the Emergency Situations Ministry, Forest Fire Stations, medical services, as well as voluntary firefighting units arrive at the scene of the fire.

The subunits that arrived in time immediately engage in a "battle" with the fiery element. At the site of the fire, an operational fire extinguishing headquarters is created, which collects, processes and analyzes data on the situation at the fire, takes into account and distributes forces and equipment to combat areas, and develops an extinguishing plan. The ambulance team organizes the work of the point for the provision of medical care.

After a long and stubborn struggle in all areas, the active edge of the fire was stopped, work is underway to localize and extinguish individual combustion centers.

The gathering of additional formations in the camp is announced. The chief of the firefighting operational headquarters announces the elimination of the fire.

Based on the results of the fire-tactical exercises, a meeting of the operational headquarters was held with the involvement of the leaders of all functional groups, where the course of the exercises was analyzed and its results were summed up.

In total, more than 50 people were involved in the exercises, more than 10 units of special equipment. According to the organizers of the exercise, these events are carried out to practice the skills of extinguishing forest fires in conditions as close as possible to real ones, to refine all the nuances that may arise during the elimination of a real fire, the interaction of all operational services and ensure the safety of fire extinguishing.

On June 23, 2021, a fire was discovered in the 164th quarter of the Dzhemursky forestry, the Kanonersky branch of the Semey Ormany GLPR. Paratroopers-firefighters of the Bukebaevsky aviation department, employees of the ground forest guard with equipment were sent to the place of fire to extinguish the fire and prevent its further spread. Thanks to the coordinated actions of all services, the fire was localized and extinguished on an area of 0.01 hectares.

JUNE 24, 2021 A PREVENTIVE LECTURE WAS HELD BY AN EMPLOYEE OF THE KATON-KARAGAY AVIATION DEPARTMENT

On June 24, 2021, within the framework of the program for informing the population by the instructor of the APG of the Katon-Karagai aviation department, Blinov D.Yu. a preventive lecture on fire-fighting topics was held among the staff of the Katon-Karagai regional hospital. Employees of the organization were familiarized with the precautions when handling fire in the forest, actions when a forest fire is detected, the actions of a person lost in the forest, compliance with sanitary standards when visiting forest areas. At the end of the lecture, the participants were given propaganda leaflets (500 pieces).

JUNE 24, 2021 EMPLOYEES OF THE BORODULIKHINA AVIATION DEPARTMENT HELD PREVENTIVE CONVERSATIONS

June 24, 2021, within the framework of the program for informing the population by the APG instructor A.L. Matayev. and paratrooper-firefighter Zaitsev A.G. On June 23, 2021, S.K. Musin, instructor of the APG of the Bukebaevsky aviation department. among the employees of the Ramadan forestry of the Bukebaevsky branch of the RSU GLPR "Semey Ormany" a lecture was held on the topic: "Rules for extinguishing forest fires".

During the lecture, questions were raised regarding the interaction of the land forest guard and the State Enterprise "Kazavialesoohrana", namely:

- interaction between aviation and ground forest protection during forest fire extinguishing;

- conducting radio exchange with the aircraft;

- safety precautions for localization and elimination of a fire involving an aircraft.

ON THE GUARD OF THE FOREST - AX-MOTIGA

Ax hoe

An ax-hoe is a hand-held percussion tool with two mutually perpendicular blades (the lower blade is an ax, the upper one is a hoe).

Allows you to quickly create mineralized stripes to localize and prevent the spread of fire. The ax-hoe in the technology of creating a mineralized strip is used to loosen the litter and turf, as well as to cut the roots of trees and shrubs.

It can play the first role when laying a mine strip, if the head of extinguishing the fire applies the technology of work, in which 3-5 forest firefighters with ax-hoes loosen the litter and rake it away from the fire, and then the bottom is cleaned with a shovel to the mineral layer. This technology is especially effective on rocky soils and in mountainous conditions.

When extinguishing a localized forest fire with an ax-hoe, stumps are cut, felling and turning over deadwood that have signs of decay and the likelihood of resumption of combustion.

Regardless of the strength of the fire and the speed of its spread, in the practice of extinguishing forest fires in remote and hard-to-reach areas of the forest, where forest fire engines cannot reach, first of all, hand fire tools are used: an ax-hoe and a bayonet shovel, with which you can create a mineralized strip, produce extinguishing the edge of a ground fire with soil and extinguishing forest combustible materials on burnt places.

The ax-hoe is equipped with a wooden handle made of hardwood, which has excellent impact resistance and ergonomics, which provides comfortable conditions for long-term work and almost lifelong operation.

The hoe ax blades are double-hardened forged steel to minimize the need for sharpening in the field. The use of hand-held firefighting tools: a hoe-ax and a bayonet shovel, depending on the forest growing conditions and the timely selection of the appropriate extinguishing tactics, allows you to effectively extinguish fires of any complexity category.
