A helicopter and paratroopers-firefighters of the Bayanaul aviation department, employees of the ground forest guard with equipment were sent to the place of fires to extinguish the fires and prevent their further spread. Thanks to the coordinated actions of all services, fires were stopped in areas not exceeding 0.2 hectares. The cause of fires is a lightning discharge.

On May 18, 2021, during an aviation patrol, employees of the Bukebaevsky aviation department discovered 7 fires on the territory of 46, 61, 71, 97, 120, 121 and 158 quarters of the Eastern forestry, Dolonsky branch of the RSU GLPR "Semey Ormany". Paratroopers-firefighters of the Bukebaevsky aviation department with fire extinguishing equipment were landed at the site of the fire, ground forest guards with equipment were sent to help the firefighters. On May 18, 2021, a forest fire occurred on the territory of the 80th quarter of the Pervomayskoye forestry, KGU Stepnogorskoye FDA. To extinguish the fire, a helicopter RGKP "Kazavialesoоhrana" EC-145 was involved with a spillway device on an external sling, from which a total of 10 targeted water discharges were made to the fires, with a total tonnage of more than 5 tons. In total, more than 30 people and 10 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. After a long and stubborn struggle with the fire, the fire was contained.
