The main culprit of forest fires is a man - his negligence when using fire in the forest during work and rest. Most fires occur as a result of agricultural burning, garbage burning, in picnic places, picking up mushrooms and berries, during hunting, from an abandoned burning match, an unextinguished cigarette. During the hunter's shot, the wad that flew out of the gun begins to smolder, setting fire to dry grass. You can often see how littered with wood bottles and glass fragments. In sunny weather, these fragments focus the sun's rays like incendiary lenses. An incompletely extinguished fire in the forest causes subsequent major disasters.
So that your negligence does not cause a forest fire, follow these rules:
- never set fire to dry grass in the fields or in the forest;
- never make a fire in a dry forest or on a peat bog;
- it is forbidden to leave wiped material oiled or saturated with gasoline, kerosene and other combustible substances in the forest;
- it is forbidden to leave bottles, glass fragments, other rubbish in the forest lit by the sun;
- never throw unquenched matches or cigarettes in the woods;
- Do not drive into the forest on cars and especially motorcycles (sparks from a silencer can cause a fire).
If sunbathing is detected in the forest, you should take extinguishing measures yourself and immediately report the fire to the forest guard or call the fire department at "101" or "112", informing you of your approximate location.
Only strict compliance with fire safety rules eliminates the possibility of fires!
