Information about the fire that occurred in the East Kazakhstan region on April 23, 2020

On April 23, 2020, a fire was discovered in the Beskargai district, near the village of Grachi, Dolonsky rural district. From the moment a fire was discovered, the Mi-2 helicopter of the Bukebaev aviation branch was sent to the place of ignition to carry out reconnaissance of the state of the fire, assess the prospects of its development, monitor the spread of fire and the course of the fire, and adjust the alignment of forces and assets around the fire.

To help foresters, the forces and means of the Ust-Kamenogorsk aviation branch, fire department number 54, and emergency department of the city of Semey were additionally pulled together. To extinguish the fire, a Mi-8 first-class helicopter with an overflow spillway device was used. The fire was monitored from the air. Extinguishing a fire is complicated by strong gusts of wind (up to 25 m / s). Estimated area of the fire is 300 ha. Fire fighting is underway.

Thanks to the coordinated work of all fire extinguishing services, the fire was successfully localized on an area of 0.5 ha.

Localization of the fire involved: 6 paratroopers-firemen of the Almaty aviation branch, 25 people of the Ile-Alatau GNPP, more than 20 people of emergency situations, more than 5 pieces of equipment. After localization, the fire was handed over to the forest owner for parasitization.

After localization, the fire was handed over to the forest owner for parasitization.

In Kazavialesoohrana, the Partenavia P.68 aircraft is used for forestry operations, as well as flights aimed at identifying and suppressing the facts of poaching, violations of hunting and fishing rules, carried out jointly with environmental authorities.

During the air patrolling, radio communication with the forestries and inspectors of KSU LH "Akkol" was checked. The condition of fire roads, which serve as barriers to the spread of possible ground fires and reference lines for the localization of existing foci, was examined. In order to prevent the occurrence and spread of forest fires, the situation was specified for the start of controlled annealing. When examining the territory of the State Forest Fund and the adjacent lands of the state reserve, the necessity of starting regular air patrolling was checked.
