Forests are one of the most important wealth of Kazakhstan, as they are recreational areas. Fires from a variety of natural and anthropogenic factors have a dominant negative impact on the state and dynamics of forest ecosystems, causing significant material and environmental damage to the state.
Most often forest fires occur:
- it's the fault of people who leave their fires burning, or cigarette butts in places of rest or work;
- at burning of garbage by owners of dachas and garden sites on forest edges;
- from agricultural bollards.
In rare cases, natural causes are to blame, such as a lightning strike.
What can everyone do:
Be extremely careful with fire within any natural area. To your carelessness did not cause a forest fire, follow the following rules:
- never throw matches or cigarettes that are not extinguished, do not use pyrotechnic products in the forest
- never set fire to dry grass in fields or clearings in the forest;
- never build a fire in a dry forest.
Before you build a fire, make sure that the fire pit is located on mineral soil (sand or clay), then rake the forest floor from the fire pit and around it in a radius of 0.5 m.
Before leaving, fill the fire well. After that, rake the ash and make sure that there are no smoldering coals under it, if there are, then pour again. Do not walk away from a drenched fire while smoke or steam is coming from it. About how to fill the fire take care in advance.
