On June 28, 2019 a fire was detected by employees of the Zhambyl Aviation Division

On June 28, 2019 during the air patrolling of the territory protected by the Zhambyl Aviation Division, a fire was discovered on the territory of the state reserve lands, with a threat to the 14th quarter of Oyik Forestry, Akkol KSU. Information about the fire was transferred to employees of Akkol KSU for taking prompt measures to contain and eliminate fire. The forces and facilities of Akkol KSU were sent to the site of fire. Strong wind (gusts up to 12 m / s), high temperature (more than 40 degrees) and the presence of dead wood contributed to the rapid spread of fire to the territory of the State Forest Fund. On June 29, a Kazavialesoohran helicopter with two paratroopers on board was sent to assist the staff of the Akkol KSU.

Fire fighting lasted two days. The helicopter and 2 paratrooper-fire Zhambyl aviation department, 13 pieces of equipment, 64 people of Akkol KSU were involved in the localization and fire prevention. The fire was extinguished on an area of 146 hectares (of which the State Forest Fund is 20 ha).

In total, the fire extinguishing involved: 2 people of the aviation fire service of the State Enterprise "Kazavialesoukhrana", 4 people of Bayanaul SNNP and 3 units of equipment. Thanks to promptly taken measures, the fire was extinguished on a small area (0.0001 ha). The cause of the fire is a thunderstorm.
