On March 24, 2023, a joint meeting on preparation for the fire season of 2023 was held in Ridder at the KSU "Fir Forestry" of the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management of the East Kazakhstan region. At the meeting, issues related to the prevention of forest fires, timely measures to extinguish forest fires and prevent their development into the category of large ones, issues of interaction between ground and aviation services, conducting radio exchange with an aircraft and safety measures for localization and liquidation of a fire involving an aircraft were worked out. During the meeting, it was noted that in 2023, the air patrol of the protected area will be carried out by an An-2 aircraft from the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk. The meeting was held with the participation of representatives of forest users, M.A. Kuzmin, responsible for the Ridder aviation department, participated from the enterprise of the "Kazavialesoohrana".
