In preparation for the fire season of 2023, in order to improve the quality of work of forest fire services of forest owners of the Karaganda region, on March 2, 2023, in the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management of the Karaganda region, the head of the Karkaraly aviation department of the"Kazavialesoohrana" Plotnikov T. V. held a seminar on the organization and management of forest fire extinguishing, issues of interaction between ground and aviation forces and services during the extinguishing of forest fires.

The purpose of the classes was to work out questions:
- interaction between aviation and ground protection of forests during forest fire extinguishing;
- conducting radio exchange with an aircraft;
- safety procedures for localization and elimination of fire involving aircraft.
The seminar was attended by heads of forest and environmental institutions, their deputies, engineers for the protection and protection of forests, foresters and heads of the LPS of the Karaganda Regional Territorial Inspectorate of Forestry and Wildlife, KSU "Karaganda Forestry for the Protection of Forests and Wildlife", GNPP "Buiratau", Karaganda branch of NC "KTZ", Karaganda linear-operational division of the Astana distance of protective forest plantations, COF of JSC NC "KazAvtoZhol".
Before the end of the preparation period for the PIC 2023, it is planned to hold a seminar among representatives of the Karkaralinsky GNPP, Aktogay and Egindybulak farms for the protection of forests and wildlife.

On February 24, 2023, a meeting on the topic "Results of the 2022 fire season and tasks for the 2023 fire season" was held at the Almaty Regional Territorial Inspectorate of Forestry and Wildlife of the Committee of Forestry and Wildlife of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan via videoconference, with the participation of representatives of the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management, municipal state forestry institutions, national nature parks and reserves of the Almaty region.

During the meeting, issues of preparation for the 2023 fire season and measures taken by forest owners to prevent and combat forest fires during the fire season were discussed. According to the results of the meeting, in preparation for the fire season, it was decided to produce:
1. Training and instruction of forest fire services on the issues of fire-fighting arrangement of the territory and extinguishing forest fires;
2. Formation of fire brigades;
3. Repair of fire-fighting equipment, equipment and observation objects;
4. Preventive fire-fighting measures in forests located around settlements;
5. Training of the inspection staff, employees of the state guard on ensuring the protection of forests from illegal logging, as well as the procedure for compiling and maintaining
documentation on forest violations;
6. Burning of existing felling residues before the start of the fire season;
7. Conduct controlled annealing of herbaceous vegetation on the territory of the forest fund and adjacent territories in order to reduce fire danger.
